Moonlit Poem by Debbie Docherty

Moonlit

The moon
Paints the world
In shades of silver

The sky
Is a blanket of stars
Lighting our way

As we ride
The grass ripples in the wind
Like a silver sea

The horses snort...
Toss their heads...
and gallop in it's wake
sleek and shining

We are laughing
Like children
Intoxicated by this night

I will always remember this
