Moonlight Memories Poem by Dee Corpolongo

As I gazed up at the big moon in the sky
I watched it as all the clouds passed by
I seen its bright light shine on the shore
the beauty of it made me yearn for more
It made me review all the memories inside
Remembering all the days I laughed and cried
It sent some shivers right down my spine
though some of those memories were so divine
I thought about all the loved ones gone
and wondered why I must still go on
I thought about how my life has changed
and many of my dreams all rearranged
I then thought of someone so far away
and how I hope he thinks of me today
while gazing upon a moon so bright
I feel the intensity of its light.
