Moonlight Dance Poem by Nicole GravellPellerino

Moonlight Dance

Shadows gracefully dance
in the city streets
beneath the glowing moonlight
as the rain sails down
eloquently around them

Efffortlessly swaying
back and forth
to the rhythm of the whistling wind
synched and choreographed
to the moves of the dancing drops

They are lost in a universe
that's all their own
caught up in secret moment
completely oblivious
to the choas surrounding them

held tight in each others grip
and lost in baby blues
the shadows could continue
their moonlight dance until
the morning sun peeks across the horizon

But they must part
and go their seperate ways
until the next moonlight dance
finds them safely wrapped
in each other's loving arms

Shadows sadly part
at day break
patiently waiting
until they meet again
in the city streets
