Moon Tale (Concluding Part) Poem by TANIMONURE ADEWALE

Moon Tale (Concluding Part)

and the blanket strong sits steel and grim, long
its width ‘freeze-fierces'; earth screams as it pierces
tears kneel an errand's end; oh! where's a miracle rend?
on and on and on goes the blues of mourn
heaven is lost somewhere. fear! fear! ! fear! ! ! fear! ! ! ! fear! ! ! ! ! fear! ! ! ! ! !

suddenly! a rich ray throws a line of cheer
what is happening? unbelievable! o my! o dear!
how the mighty is falling; at last, heaven comes calling
a neat hit; a defeat; a retreat; how so enthralling
I AM BACK; in my great glory, in my destiny complete
earth flies a scream, embraces heaven deep. what relief; how sweet

see the stars now, how they all bow
deep feel obeisance; what a renaissance!
earth blooms so good in beatitude
and tongues tone sweet notes, rich rainbow from throats
my destiny reigns on in great fulfillment done.
