Moon Just Tell Me Poem by Neela Nath Das

Moon Just Tell Me

Rating: 4.5

Tearing the wrapper of the mist
You have come out near my house.
Tell me, just tell me the cause,
Behind your blissful emergence.
The layer of vagueness has plunged
Me in the deep sea of sorrow.
My solitariness I won't ever
Break as I enjoy my love's presence
In this profound solitude of
Trees, plants and mountains and
Hills, I feel the calmness of
An Awaited heart, far yet near
Unoccupied but occupied.
Moon just tell me will you
Stay at my hut to add quietness
Or to share the narration of
Your tormented heart!

A enchanting poem indeed. To answer Sina, I infer, the moon is tormented since unlike the stars it is lonely and has no eligible celestial companion.
