Moody
I am writing my way to fame
And thy gentle eyes are my keen witness
Albeit, thou barely know I own a merry name
On this glyph abounds a furnished credence
My life, a witty poetry
Often awkwardly versed
My strive, a dicey lottery
Enticingly easy goldmine of seldom vague inverse
Words are like happy birds
My heart, their cozy nests
So, tease me not with words that woo
My subtle heart might yet proves vulnerable
And just be ready to coat in quotes...

Hi Nel! A very nice poem! Honest and intentions made very clear.In your own words- Words are like happy birds - my heart their cozy nests! Keep it that way - pure and sublime! Firstly, poetry should be written to make the inner self joyful. The rest -leave it to nature! Fame is an elusive and slippery! :)
Nel you are fine poet, fame will come in time but even if it does take long do not be disheartened. Enjoy your craft and be glad that those happy birds are in their cosy nests. You do know that some of the all time greatest poets were never appreciated the way they should have been in their lifetimes- right. Good luck my friend.
