Monster Poem by Far Lapenna

Monster

Teeth glistening from the recent kill
The flesh bursts and the heartbeat falls still
The eyes glint and the bloodlust pours out
The heartbeat begins again, and the victim, shouts
Claws extended, the creature takes hold
The victims throat, bursts from its folds
Blood dripping off the creatures' hand
Licking it off, the thing, stands
Walks away it does, and leaves the victim
Drained of Life, It's Soul, It's Meaning
But the creature prowls on, intent on finding
Another victim for its own binding
