Monologue Of A Crony

Rating: 5.0

' I must apologize for my previous mistakes and also I must grateful to you all my dear citizens re-electing me to this great opportunity.
This time I promise to fulfill your dreams without any failure,
Believe me I am your old friend with a different costume.'

(I dedicate this poem to the next president of the United States.)

It's good to hear your political passion hasn't left you, Nimal. You use satire with great skill in this succinct expression of political spin. A brilliant piece. love, Allie xxxx

Nimal, it was so great to see your name. This piece of prose has all the elements of a poem and remind us of the very essense of what it is to be a true democrat. Worthy of Whitman I would say. You emphasis that the people of power only have that power once we allow them to. Thus making power non-absolute. This is a sentiment which is so rare these days, but is forcefully reminded in us in this poem. Magnificent my friend. A pure delight to read.

Excellent satire. I have seldom seen any politician who could or would live up to his campaign promises. Kind wishes, Sandra
