Moments Spent With You Poem by Runita R Menezes

I thank the Lord for precious moments that I spend with you,
When we can speak and act just the way we want to.
When from the world we seem apart,
And can actually look deep into each other’s hearts.

But when you’re away I miss these memorable times,
And no verse sounds right nor poetry rhymes.
Yet I know that you have to be away,
And so reliving these memories makes my day.

I thank the Lord for moments quite and serene,
When on each other’s strength we lean.
Moments when we can sit and relax,
While each other’s hands we tightly clasp.

And when you are away for these moments I long,
They’re memories torment me all day on.
But I know that soon you’ll be back someday.
And then from each other we won’t ever have to be away.
