Moments Of Unspoken Love Poem by EU STRESS

Moments Of Unspoken Love

The day I picked up a peacock’s plume
And painted the clouds in the orchid colours -
I borrowed from heaven’s palette,
I felt you were right there holding the brush with me
And painting our common dreams
Upon an invisible canvas of unspoken fantasies,
And sighed, “I miss you”.

The day I dipped an empty shell into the ocean
To bring back a draft of a mermaid’s tears
For you to taste,
I felt you were right there teasing me,
I made and broke a sand castle upon the beach
And sighed, “I miss you”.

The day I soaked my gossamer veil
To save some raindrops dripping after shower
From the moisture laden gulmohar canopy
Just for you,
I felt you were lying right there upon my lap,
As I was rubbing your wet hair dry with my attire,
And sighed, “I miss you”.

The day I strolled along the forest path
Whispering to the rustling tall conifers,
Whistling to the unseen song birds perched upon them,
Inhaling the moist, green earth wisped in fresh oxygen,
And swinging the glistening cobwebs
With the misty smoke I puffed out,
I felt you strengthened me saying-
I had no need to feel scared,
For you were walking right beside me,
And sighed, “I miss you”.

The day I beheld the moon-kissed, snow laden peaks
Blush to the soft vermillion hue of the dawning sun,
I felt you were standing right behind me
Holding me tight,
As we stood watching the mesmerizing vista together,
And sighed, “I miss you”.

The day I followed a dotted butterfly to its haven,
Somewhere in the heart of a blossoming blue-bell,
And watched it make love to the shy bud,
Kneeling before the expansive blue-green valley,
I felt you were throbbing right inside me,
You were every where and yet nowhere,
And yearning to share
Each and every of these sensuous pleasures with you
And yet more………….
I sighed, “I miss you”.
