Moments Of Time Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Moments Of Time

Waiting quietly within, writing poetry and letting music
carry me away, loving the total peace that it gives to
me, sensing awesome feelings of wonder and awe.

An intense curiosity will be giving me these feelings
through moments of time in life, touching upon rhythms
as they fill me with sounds and colors exploding.

Taking me into poetical interludes and musical composi-
tions, being filled fully and incessantly, my heart elat-
ed and joyful with it's burning tones of intellect.

I remember a series of BBC documentaries about Tribal People hosted by David Attenborough. He went to New Guinea, where a tribe saw pigs as sacred. The more you owned, the holier you were. If you owned more than 25, you weere already living partly in the Paradise on the Other Side. Your spirit was there, but you had to come back and take care of your pigs, then you'd go back to paradise for a while. Back and forth. With the gods or with the pigs. Both sides of holiness. Well, RoseAnn, in spiritual terms you've got a whole herd of pigs! !
