Moments Poem by Elia Michael

Moments

This life is worth the pain,
The suffering of birth,
The endless years of strain
And toil upon this earth.

For in between, those moments
Of love and joy exist,
Which give my life its sense
And would have been so missed

Had they not blessed and kissed
My life at certain times
With loving fragrant mist
In warm romantic climes.

I give my thanks for life,
This precious priceless force,
Though often struck by strife,
My sins and my remorse.
