Moments Poem by Molly LaBelle

Moments

Rating: 4.0

15 years old
Laying next to my best friend
2am on a summer night.
The window is cracked
And you can
Hear the night out the window.
Squished on the bed
After another day spent
Doing what we always do.
I am loved more than I thought I could ever be and
I am happy.

16 years old
Laying next to 2 best friends
3am on a winter night.
The room is hot and I am too close to the people next to me.
The window is open and the fan is blowing
And it feels just like
Summer.
Everything is okay,
I am loved just like I want to be and
I am happy.

16 years old
In the front seat of a car
My best friend is driving and
The music is too loud.
No one is speaking and
The moon leads us where we want to go.
The night is cold and
The snow is white
And this town is the same as it will always be.
I am loved more than I should be and
I am happy.
