Moment In Time Poem by Philip Geoffrey Lock

Moment In Time

Sitting in my chair
Simon and Garfunkel, David Gray
Looking at today

In the elevator
Counting time, future thoughts
Things I would do, now done
Spaces bought

Typing out words
Wax poetic, like that line
What will come, it comes, it's gone
But now is now, I am here
None is mine

Rain falls damp
Warm in here, cold outside
Seasons change and so do I
I guess. Unless - it changes all about us
Can't stop it, lean in back
Time and tide

Now it's five
Doesn't too much matter how
It'll go forever. For ever ever?
And anyway, doesn't it lie
Only one place I can touch You
The only time You're here
And that's now
