Mithridate Poem by Aiman Rathore

Mithridate

Rating: 3.2

Sadness with tears
death by pain
reflections they seem
though not the same
some say it cures
some say insane
even if it numbs
never goes invain
obsession with passion
wounds by scars
to live with the sadness
tears have to fall
fear of death ends
when life makes you crawl.

Hi Aiman! It's great to see you on poemhunter with such a great poem. It's really higher than your age. You are a genius unknown...Yes, you are right, fear of death ends when life makes you crawl... 'When life is face to face with perpetual death Death is reduced to a worn out cliche.' Besides its literary meanings, Mithridatism was an established branch of medical science (Tibb) in ancient times. In my opinion 'Mithridate' seems more appropriate for title of the poem than 'Mithridatize'. Great work any way. Keep on writing and be aware of flatterers, there are a few on poemhunter as well. Love! Your Uncle, Naseer
