Misunderstood Jesus Poem by Ramona Thompson

Misunderstood Jesus

Rating: 1.0

So tell me
Tell me if you think you can ladies and gentlemen
What is it about me that offends you so deeply?
Way down deep in your bones
Is it because maybe you know?
Who I am
What I am
The name in this dark day and age
You are so very afraid to praise
In front of all your family and friends
Dare you step forward now to defend
A misunderstood lady poet
Amoug you
Hidden until this very moment
A misunderstood Jesus

Between my words
Read on and discover
If you dare
The secrets passed down through the ages
Through the dawns and nights of over 2000 years of human history
Learn and drink in my holy knowledge
As I lead you on this journey of as yet untold amazing delight
From my fingers to the keyboard
To all of your computer screens
Here I am
Signed, sealed, delivered
If you want your nightly prayers heard and answered
Be sure to click here and leave a comment
Naughty, nice or just plain mean
For me
Ramona Thompson
Your misunderstood Jesus

Is it so very shocking to you?
To learn that beyond this mere human shell of flesh
There beats the heart of something more
Something beyond what mankind has been taught to believe
A woman quite unlike you have or ever will know
A woman not just of flesh, blood and bone
But also packed and molded
Sent once more
Back again
From out of a virgin's sweet untouched womb
In the image of my father
Bearing down a heavy cross
Labeled the outsider of all outsiders
A misunderstood Jesus
Fighting to destory
The dark beast beating so cruel and unjust
Inside of you all tonight
