Misunderstood Poem by Jake MacMillan

Misunderstood

As the saying goes,
sticks and stones can break my bones...
But names will never hurt me.
Thats why I never thought that you would ever go desert me.

You said that you would hurt me, but thats just what we do,
You would only do to me what I have done to you.
But you pushed it way too far this time, the cut will never mend,
You have hurt me too the break, I will hate you till the end.

We used to be good friends, but it all changed in a flash,
We were flying like a plain, and in an instant we have crashed.
We will never be the same, there is no way that we could,
I can’t believe I ever thought you were just misunderstood
