I can’t let you go
I just don’t think you know
How much you mean to me
You said you’d never leave
That Id always just be a while away
But now you’re going cross state
And I knew that being your friend was a mistake
I got so close to you and you’ve become so important
And I just know that if you go
Id never sees you again
It’s the way it’s always been
Despite what you say
I should have known that this would have happened some day
That after finally finding someone who cared
A person who swore they’d always be there…
You’ve found some place better
A place you feel you need to be
And I feel so selfish wanting to ask you not to leave
I feel like I’m suffocating
I can’t lose you too
You’re the only person who’s ever really gotten though
I just have this connection with you
Although you might not see it
I just wish I had the courage to say
That you’ve always been so special in a certain way
I can’t wait for your hugs
They seem to make it all ok
I didn’t think I could ever face
Not being able to hug you another day
But I know I’m just a girl
Nothing worthwhile
Probably just a burden like I’ve always ever been
But I just don’t think I could see you off
Knowing id never see you again
So sorry if I cry, I wish I could lie and say it was nice
While it lasted but it wasn’t long enough
I still think about the night you sang me that song
I felt so important so loved and special
But I hope you have fun, I hope you find love
I hope that everyday is better then the one before
But To be quit honest I hope I never see the day
That you’ll walk away…
I’ll always hope that you choose
To stay
