Missing Mother Poem by Sally Pipkin

Missing Mother

Rating: 2.0

It's 31 years since Mother went away
I miss her so much and think of the day
That she went away to the heavenly home
She left us here sad and alone

A Mother is something you just can't replace
But we go along and keep the faith
We know some day we'll all be together again
Then we will all be happy and settle in

To the land that is promised when we die
To the troubles of this world, we will say good bye
I love my Mother that's all I can say
I miss her so much both night and day

She was a Mother always kind and sweet
And was good to all the people she would meet
She always told them of God and His love
And to prepare to live forever up above.

This journey I'm on won't last too long
And I know I'll join her on that beautiful throne
I too will be with God who is always true
I'll know no sorrow and I'll never be blue.
