Miss You Baby Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

Miss You Baby

Miss you baby

How come the baby;
I used to cuddle, kiss
Cradle in my breast,
Not there, not nearby,
Frail, feeble, infirm baby,
Her teensy-weensy smile,
Carrying sunny skies, and
Moonlight glories,
And in eyes,
Gleams of heaven shine,
Hope, faith, wish
Joy and sorrow surprise,
Dressed soft and white,
Goes to sleep any time,
When on her alighted,
Angel’s cradle-song
Enchanting and sweet,
And see God beside her,
Sitting through
Day and night,
Only yesterday night,
In her crib I tucked her,
Felt her slender arms,
Caressing me soft and warm,
And now who is this girl,
Dancing in and out,
Shouting aloud,
Jumping around,
Sliding down the playground,
I can’t recall when I missed her,
Time with his wings
Flew her to a different world,
Now I see—a little woman,
Standing before me and calling,
Daddy, I am your little baby,
Oh, baby where you are,
You are gone, you are nowhere,
My heart yearning with pain,
To see you in cradle again.........
