Misinterpretation Poem by Afzal Shauq

While other people
use ladders
trying to climb
to the sky

The Pashtoons
with their songs
of honor and power
misinterpreted...
Are still willing
to sharpen blunt swords
believing in fighting.

And for this reason
the people of this nation
will eat of the soil
in an unending life
of nothing.
