Misconceptions Poem by Cindy Thacher

Misconceptions

I've been called 'a piece of work'
'a drama queen', with a smirk,
The things I've seen and the voices I've heard,
to others, would seem absurd.

I've, too said many a prayer,
So is it fair
for the misconception
and the cold reception?

Spoken thoughts were misconstrued
leading to a nasty feud,
By telling of one's beliefs
could lead to disbelief.

Some are blindfolded by fear
of a supernatural being nowhere near,
Maybe a simple illusion,
mirage, fantasy, a mere delusion.

Being judged by the unseen
could be misconceived.
