Mirrors Poem by Bob Bradley

Mirrors

Of the many objects of vanity
The mirror is the most deceptive
It offers distorted reality
To the viewer who is therein reflected

Self-worth should not be judged
By what is seen in the looking glass
The image there cannot begrudge
Inner happiness that none can surpass

Whether short, tall, big, or small
Marvelous beings are we all
A sad situation it would be
To limit ourselves by what we see
In a mirror

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Very good, the thought is carried very well. rhyme is. Rhyme is great without being affected and meter is really good until the last line. As a poetry teacher I’d like to suggest the last line could read: To limit ourselves by what we see (space, capital I) In a mirror.
