Mirror Talk Poem by Jennifer Peckins

Mirror Talk

It's always a little colder
When you're not in the room
Time grows older
But it'll be over soon
I can wait
I know you can too
I can't hate
You're just too damn cute

I can imagine a bed
Sized for a king
Covered in rose petals, red
But the queen adorned the thing
And we lie side by side
Not wearing anything
We don't have to hide
From anyone, or any ring

Day in, Day out
I scream, I shout
For you, for air
Is there someone out there
Speeding, racing
What am I facing
Do you, even hear
Tell me there's nothing to fear

See your face
When I close my eyes
What I can't replace
What never dies
What I came for
And will leave with
This love amore
My baby convict....ed

Day in, Day out
I scream, I shout
For you, for air
Is there someone out there
Speeding, racing
What am I facing
Do you, even hear
Tell me there's nothing to fear

What I feel
What I know
Can I heal
What doesn't show
Do you, even hear
Tell me there's nothing to fear

Give it all up for you
I would give it all up for you
Baby I gave it all up for you
Now tell me tell me
you love me too
