I look in the mirror and see
A girl staring back at me
Her eyes are clear
Except for the fear
The fear inside
The fear she hides

She is broken
With the words that were spoken
Her heart is cold
With the hate she holds
The hate in her heart
Holding her feelings in isn't very smart
She doesn't know how to let go
Her sel-esteem is very low

She's getting by
But at night she still cries
She wants a mom and dad
She doesn't want to feel sad
She hopes oneday she will heal
From how she feels

I look in the mirror and see
A girl smiling back at me
Because she knows oneday
The pain will all fade away
