Miracle In The Dark Poem by Mark Heathcote

Miracle In The Dark

It's like a miracle in the dark
That sardines chase the light
It's like a miracle in the dark
That squid rises in the moonlight.

It's like a miracle in the dark
That firefly's signal, intermittent
It's like a miracle in the dark
Those bats are honing their skills cogent.

It's like a miracle in the dark
That golden orb-weaver spider
It's like a miracle in the dark
In that world of nocturnal, cat caper.

It's like a miracle in the dark
When an owl calls to wild-owl
It's like a miracle in the dark
Meeting her, in that tree hole—cowl.
