Miracle Poem by Jody L. Moody

Miracle

Let me tell you about a child,
Who was granted a special life,
A beautiful little princess,
That relished a golden rife.

Doctors and strangers,
Family and friends,
Never doubted,
How her story began.

A miracle she was,
Of unexplained treasure,
A gift of heaven,
An astonishing pleasure.

when I saw her precious little face,
as she came into my world,
I knew that she was so much more,
than just my baby girl.

A beautiful little miracle,
As she exited my womb,
As a replica of her daddy,
And an image of her mom.

There I held this little miracle,
Sent straight from heaven above,
a gift I wrapped in my arms so tight,
A tiny little angel for me to love.

She has brightened up my days,
with her smiles and her laughs,
She has helped me to remember,
All the blessings that I have.

Her face is so sweet and pure,
And her eyes are the prettiest of blue,
Her smile can brighten the darkest room,
This I am certain is true.
.
She gives the sweetest little kisses,
Heart warming to much delight,
She gives the greatest little hugs,
from morning until night.

she speaks simple words,
a tiny learner in flight,
and a whole lot of gibberish,
She tries with all her might.

She'll squeeze away the sorrow,
and make me forget about my pain,
She shows me where the sun is,
when I'm hiding from the rain.

And when at night she finally goes to sleep,
I appreciate the days that we share,
I Thank God for this miracle,
that he trusts in my care.

The purest of heavens treasures,
That a believer may proclaim,
Is a beautiful little baby girl,
And miracle is her name.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this for my daughter Miracle. Her dad hasn't been able to have kids since he was in his 20's, he is now almost 45 and she was concieved when he was 43. And six month before she happened, I lost my son at 39 weeks gestation, so having another child wasn't suppose to happen for me either.
