Mind Of A Child Poem by david gerardino

Mind Of A Child

SID, ghost like you put on a brave smile,
still, when your home, your not really home,
just skin and bones and the mind of a child.
SID, your instinets were right, you beaton the
odds and became a star, then drank down to much
LSD, still you smile and write and draw funny
cartoons of your old friends.
SID, the whole world is waiting for one more
trick, just one, what they dont get is that
your no longer home, no longer you, just a shell
of skin, and bones, and a mind of a broken down
child.
