Mileage
The sun is a stowaway on the ship called
the Dark Side of Mother Earth.
Sea and horizon melt together in grey
and long shadows
reach the far ends of the winternight
in a shoreless play.
A thin line of glowing light marks the
End of Endlessness.
The ship on the Seven Seas
has taken the distance.
Finally.
