Mikhail Lermontov 'The Prayer' Poem by Gennady Levitsky

Mikhail Lermontov 'The Prayer'

At times of grief and sorrow
When life hits real hard
One magic, charming prayer
My lips repeat by heart

For some unknown reason
As if it came from Lord
There is a mighty power
In every spoken word.

And then the grim despair
Begins to loose its grip
And it becomes so easy
To hope again and weep.
