Mighty Yellow-Jacket Poem by Juan Olivarez

Mighty Yellow-Jacket

A Yellow- Jacket packs a punch,
Avoid him if you can.
He might just go and eat your lunch,
He can take on any man.

The mighty Yellow- Jacket strikes,
With no warning or war cry,
One sting and you will be in flight,
You'll rue the day you passed him by.

So let me counsel you, as one more wise,
Stay well away from his favorite haunts.
If you would not have us hear your cries,
Remain far away, and save your taunts.

6/6/10 29 palms ca.
