Midnight Thoughts Poem by Parul Panthri

Midnight Thoughts

Rating: 4.0

Theres much more to life
or less than there ever was
Find a personal rainbow for the eyes
which reveals beyond the seven hues
Borrow tears for a minuscule cause.

Walk into the abandoned house
Give the depleted pantry a chance to tell it's story
It need'nt always be crooked and gory
It might talk of the gradual demise of lover
or the love that never was
Life dancing on the beats of an old gramophone record
An estranged spouse, a beaten cord.

Which garden could ever tell the story of the gardner?
Planting is toil
Plucking is moil
from the fear of reliving pain
smeared thoughts recoil.
