Mid-City's Nursery Rhyme Poem by James B. Earley

Mid-City's Nursery Rhyme

A joy reminiscent…
Of nursery rhymes
Precious the thought
Yesteryear...reminds

Of countless visits
......And storytime
Just need to say thanks
…Responding in kind

To..the Mikolajcik's..
Mister and Missus
…Their eldest…John
Espousing best wishes

With all the new plants
I've gathered about
The lovely lady..Gwen
...Years...at check-out

Alongside the highway.....
'Neath 'Mid-City' sign
Fond memories..persist
...My pen...so inclined

Grateful for the privilege
...Indeed honor…is mine
Sequestered in the writing…
Mid-City's own nursery rhyme

JAMES B. EARLEY
