Michelle's Happiest Day Poem by Francis Duggan

Michelle's Happiest Day

The memory her whole lifetime she will save
She found her God in Tin shed in Belgrave
Baptized into the Assembly of God
The higher road towards a better life she trod.

I'm quoting Michelle Hadwick when she say
For me it's been my happiest ever day
The happiest ever day of all my life
I've found a friend in struggles against strife.

My tribulations have come to an end
I've found new peace, I have Christ as a friend,
I've found an ally in my war with sin
And I can feel a happiness within.

There ought to be more people like Michelle
And for the future I do wish her well
She's a good soul and she has much love to give
And by a higher principle she live.

The happiest day this of my life she said
When she was baptized in Belgrave at tin shed
The congregation sang hymns clapped and sang
And voice of joy in the old building rang.
