Michelle Obama Poem by Hannington Mumo

Michelle Obama

Rating: 5.0

Mama to the world and a great wife,
Inclined to preserve and rear the world's finest life,
Caring for a delicate history so as to dedicate it unsullied to the ages;
Holding the brightest candles of the most blessed wife-hood and sanctified maternity;
Embracing the God-send Obama and kissing the bubbling daughters;
Leading the black family to its firmest hope;
Leveling barriers to have her place at the very top,
Elaborating how the softer breed can still prevail!

Oh blessed maid of the darkest origins!
Believed you before that all these were possible?
And did a star lead the magi to your manger at your nativity?
May you live as long as your trailblazing hubby to be hundred and score
And have your admirers see you a second more!

Hannington, very nice. I believe Michele would love it. I wonder if she knows of it? I will make a copy of it and forward it to the White House.
