Mi Ultimo Aliento Poem by Marcus McKinley

Mi Ultimo Aliento

I wait here, at the Golden Gate
Pushing the emotional envelope
On the precipice of love
With a misty eyed view
Poised, high above

Recondite waters crashing
Swan dive
Head first
Softly in the womb of mother earth
A metempsychousthai
caressed within her undulating tide

I survive and thrive
Deeper I dive
Gasping for air
Under the barometric pressure
Susceptibility, beyond measure
Convulsing uncontrollably

I unload
My final breath...
Consumed in your depth
