Messiah Poem by Daniel McDonagh

Messiah

The stars spoke to the sun,
The sun talked to the rain,
The rain whispered to the trees,
The trees told the soil,
The soil said to the grass,
The grass gave notice to the stream,
The stream passed on the news to the river,
The river flowed with the words to the ocean,
The ocean told the fish,
The fish yelled to the birds,
The birds sang the story to the wood,
The wood spoke to a carpenter,
The carpenter told to a beggar,
The beggar shouted to a stranger,
The stranger talked to a soldier,
The soldier spoke to his captain,
The captain informed his commander,
The commander brought the news to Herod;
That the Son of God was born.
