Mercy Poem by Tom Langmead

Mercy

I fall to my knees and beg for mercy
But then I hear
“You are not worthy”
I scream and shout for my
Sisters
Who are dying from their burning blisters,
I crawl to their sides and kiss them softly
Then I hear
“That will not work”
I felt as if I was beserk
Staring at this horrible being
Who to be slowly foreseeing
My terrible fate which would bring my end.
And turn others around life’s bend.
