Mendel Palace Poem by Justin Gildow

Mendel Palace

Shuffle here
Shuffle there
Shuffle or move the tiles

Suns and moons lay unearthed
Under my feet
I run with my feet from side to side
Trying and hoping from them all to show themselves

Aliens run after me
Jumpers jump after me
Doodlers draw on the ground
Sumo wrestlers are ready to stomp and pound
Leapers leap in front of me
Dancers twirl in circles all around me
Swimmers swim after me
And lastly, the girl scouts will mimic my actions from here to eternity

Candy's scared and in chains
She's trapped in a silent cell
She's locked away at Mendel Palace
She's waiting for me
She's waiting to be set free
