Memory Strings Poem by Lawanya Wijesekara

Memory Strings

Rating: 5.0

I search for reasons
for this ache....
for this feeling,
for this twinge,
in my heart
that I unknowingly cling.
Like a caged bird tired,
fluttering its wings.....
in a futile attempt
to escape....
Tugged in by
old memory strings....
