Memory Store Poem by David Harris

Memory Store

Rating: 5.0

As we get older
some of us rely upon
memories to bring comfort.
Memories when we were young.
We sit back and daydream
of things that happened
a long time ago
instead of going out
and making more memories
for our memory store.

It's hard not to keep going back to the 'Comfort zone' and warm fuzzy feelings...but it's even harder as we get older to take a chance on making new memories.....I love the 'Memory Store'...we do tent to go shopping for them don't we....: O)

It is harder as one gets older David, but one must keep trying to collect more memories, you can't always live in the past. Nice write. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX

Wise sentiments there Dave, with the implicit caution to not do so. Carpe diem - the past is there to treasure and be learned from, not relived whilst the moment is wasted. t x
