(memory Chest) Much Ado Poem by Janice Windle

(memory Chest) Much Ado

She loved Shakespeare,
ran away from home to be with him.
She loved the way he made words mean
much more than they said.
She loved his glittering eyes,
his urban black jeans,
his white hands and his lies.

When the children came
each with a poet's name,
he hit the kids and beat her
and she took them all and ran again.
And he went on dealing
in heroine and cocaine.
