Memory Bag Poem by Sneha Murali

Memory Bag

I sit in silence with my own blank thoughts
Bored out of my mind my imagination rots
I turned to music, television, the books on my shelf
I gave up, looked up and said to God, 'Humour Me'
The sky grew darker as i waited to see,
A bag of memories forgotten, dropped on me

The past, the good things and the bad,
all the wonderful laughs that i had
Going through the memory bag kept me occupied
more than television, music, or books on shelves
God looked down on me and said, 'Humour yourself'
