Memory Poem by Alex Ranedo klein

Memory

Rating: 4.0

Memory

A start is a reminder and one of those things we hear,

here and there

A friend is quantifiable and one of those things we hear,

mother and father

You can go silent

in one of those moments.

A start repeats itself:

The gears kick in and you remember oil

and gears

and school

and maths

and maths teachers

and their lies

and your lies

and fear

and your fear

and algebra

and jokes

and one of those jokes, they said

mother and father

and teachers

And the baby laughed
