Memories Of Great Grandpa Poem by Brandy Smith

Memories Of Great Grandpa

I miss the way you always aked if I was married
I miss when I aked how much longer, you always replied 14 hours and 15 minutes
I miss the times we all played cards together
I miss how we use to play outside
I miss hearing your stories of growing up in the 1940's
I miss seeing you in your Lazy Boy chair
I miss the whiteness of your hair
I miss having Christmas with everybody there
I miss your stories of the time in Matewan
But most important, I miss not having you here
