Memories Of Egypt Poem by black panther eyes eastick

Memories Of Egypt

Rating: 5.0

A cobra sits
To my left
Black shiny skin
Orange around her neck
The charmer of snakes
Priestess of the serpent
Am i.

Sunrise
Over the pyramids
Glows golden light
Into my domain
Baths
Of milk and honey
Await me.

The days of splendour
Of riches and powers
Lost
somewhere
In time.
All around me
there are people
In my temple
My priest sits on my right
Black man of the night.

And the snakes
That slither at our feet
Seductive and charming
Intoxication
Truth of eternity
Mummified
Buried
In a
Underworld
Tomb
Awaiting rebirth.

I am
transported
through tunnels of light
As i emerge
Unravelling the bondage
As i rise
Revealing
My new self
reborn
To live again.

The charmer of snakes
Preistess of the serpent
Am i.

An exotic mix of history and sensuality in this mystical piece about optimism and rebirth. This is a beautiful poem rich with pigments of white and gold and lapis lazuli blue. love, Allie xxxx
