Memories In A Box Poem by Ronald Strickland

Memories In A Box

Rating: 3.5

A box of memories of past loves.
Photographs, letters, and poems.
Like a collection of stamps,
coins or teddy bears.
Feelings I fought to resist
not wanting to be in a collection
of memories.
Only to be remembered as a past love,
in your box of memories.
With you, heart and soul, I yearned to be.
Without resistance, you took my heart from me.
Now stored away in a collection of memories,
until your box of memories you share.
I shall always wonder how I'll fare,
among all the memories there.
