Memories Poem by Jeyhaan Carnac

Memories

Rating: 4.5

Events take place
They become a tale
In some we pass
and some we fail

Some tales are worth being told
They make you big
They make you bold
They remind you of your past glory
They make you proud, they make you happy
They remind you how awesome you are
They make you feel like a glowing star
We are proud to have those memories
in our hall of fame and galleries

Some tales aren't worth being told
they give you a pinch, they make you cold
The things you did, flash in your head
You hope those things you never said
They make you hurt, they make you cry
you sad and depressed ask yourself why

Some tales are worth being told
In front of everyone you feel so bold
But in your heart you know proper
that, that was only the man you were
Oh those memories are the worst
you feel like a bomb that's going to burst
The memories of that happiness
that now you do not posses
The best moments of your life
that aren't coming even twice

They say it's the bad ones that cause the most pain
I say it's the good ones that drive you insane
Well the question is, if they hurt us
Why can't we forget them
Well the answer, its simple i know
Its because we simply don't wanna let go
