Memories Poem by koyel mitra

Memories

Rating: 4.8

Digging my memories,
I find nothing but
darkness clawing at
the flesh of my mind.

My heart warped,
My inside dying
with intense pain.
Unable to repress
unrelenting tears.

This cannot go on,
Life has to move on;
I must burn them
and live off the ashes!

Like the legendary Sphinix, which emerged from its ashes! Lifes force, - that 'elan vital ', as the French philosopher Bergson called it, remains supreme! Life continues to exert itself against all odds through 'creative evolution '! Good poetry Koyel! - Raj Nandy New Delhi

Deep, Koyel, yet burning with hope - I especially liked the defiant ending.
