Memorial Remembrance Poem by Marilyn Lott

Memorial Remembrance

Rating: 4.5

We have a special celebration
For those folks who served
We honor every one of them
As they are loved and so revered

They dedicated their time
And fought so hard for freedom
Their names are honored now
Yes, every single one

The remembrance candle is lit
For the ones who stood so tall
Everything they believed in
Came first and that’s not all

They set aside their lives
Just put on pause you might say
Not thinking of themselves
But their country every day

So let us all thank them now
Fly our beautiful flag as well
Men and women in uniform
The pride in our hearts swell!

I salute you and them. The guys I served with in Nam.....many were too young to vote but not too young to die....Today I remember them as they are why I am still here and voting to support todays servicemen and women.
